LETTERS: Whitewash was Hogwash
I am outraged that people who have never been to Conroe will
be thnking of us as a racist town. (WHITEWASH by Mike
Ladyman, Issue 16)
I recently went to sho.com Showtimes website and went to the
discussion site. Some of the people on the site thought that the movie
was "THE TRUTH". Nobody knew about Brandley's past charges.
Many of them say, "How could they have sent an innocent man to
jail?" Well it's easy. Every other state does it...Even now. I get so upset
when people turn a blind eye to the truth.
People don't know that he had put a gun to a defenseless woman's
head and pulled the trigger. He killed someone at one time and I think
that they were not wrong for suspecting him then or even now for
the MURDER of Cheryl Fergeson.
He was a violent man, and the movie made it look like he was a
good man. It made him look like he was framed for the crime because of
his color. Let's say that the roles were reversed and a White Man killed
a Black Girl in Harlem..Would people say that the police got him
because he was white or because he fit the profile?
And would someone make a movie about that? Just DO NOT take
this movie to be the TRUTH!!!! Because it is not..It is only one side of
it. And somewhere between the Version that is playing on T.V. right
now and the ones of the people that think he's guilty is the truth...
Please everyone...Go to sho.com and then to the Whitewash
section and read the topics. But until Showtime comes down here to,
Conroe Texas,
I along with 245+ people I have talked with will be Boycotting Showtime.
If you are outraged about this mockery of our town..Show your
support by Boycotting Showtime until they decide to show people
what kind of town Conroe is and show the other side of the story.
NOT TOLD BY SOME ENGLISHMAN. Who distorted the truth so
he could sell his book.
Show them what real Texas Justice is
like..BOYCOTT SHOWTIME!!!!!!!
Thank you for takeing the time to read this,
Christopher C.

LETTERS: Weak Story
I thought the movie Whitewash: The Clarence Brandley Story was
a little weak. I mean it just sort of zipped through and had no
emotion. The movie was so bad in fact it almost made Keeshan look good.
