I'll Just Label You Illiterate
In response to your contention that President Bush can not speak properly, I would offer evidence that you can't write very well. The following quote is from your editorial.
"By showing that him to be a manipulative genius, rather than an "aw shucks" kind of guy, then he will lose one element of empathy with the non-reading
Michael Moore "stupid white men" who comprised the main demographic group
that elected him."
I COULD suppose that you simply made a mistake but then since you don't give the President that same courtesy when he makes a verbal mistake (as we all do), I won't. I'll just consider you to be illiterate. As they say, what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

I'll Just Label You Hate-Filled, Childish, Ignorant, Left
That is one of the most ignorant editorials I have ever read. While President Bush may well be a genius, the idea that he is diabolical and those who support him fools is pure tripe. The intelligence level, and emotional maturity .........or lack thereof .......of the author is where the problem lies.
Will those of you on the hate-filled, childish left ever understand what this President is really about?? Not likely.
I hope you do realize how your efforts to demean President Bush are hurting your own cause in America.
No intelligent person takes any of you seriously. You will lose by an even bigger margin in November because you are too blinded by leftist ideology to see what you are doing.
Keep it up. Bush/Cheney landslide in November...........thanks! This inane article helped.

I'll Just Label You Backward, Closed Minded, Ignorant, Old Fashioned, and Up With The KKK
It is hilarious how liberals like yourself can disparage and tear apart anyone with traditional viewpoints on right and wrong. You speak in high-minded tones of "closed-mindedness," and throw out other left-wing buzzwords that may or may not have meaning, depending on the leftist interpretation. What you fail to see, however is that you are the one with a closed mind. You cannot look upon someone else's opinion as a valid viewpoint, but as a "backward," "ignorant" or "old-fashioned" way of viewing the world. We are the silent majority, but we should become vocal or risk losing our country, state and region to "progressive" folks like yourself. The KKK should be able to rally and do what they want.
Opinions are not yet illegal in the U.S. are they? If the gay community can march around in their perverse way, why shouldn't the klan be able to do the same? One thing that "progressives" have not considered is the law of entropy. Entropy is the natural tendency for things to decay and fall apart. Nations and societies are not exempt from the law and the "progressive" (liberal) activists in America are nothing more than vehicles for the quick decay of American society.
We are still the majority and for the sake of all that is good, we must sand up to the vocal minority that you are clearly a part of. Notice that you are not in the northeast, where your type is the vast majority. You, unfortunately, live in the South, a place of conservative ideals, and quickly becoming the last bastion of these ideals. There is plenty of room up north; perhaps a Boston zip code would suit you better?
Anyway, just to let you know, I am 23 years old and a college graduate. Everyone I know feels generally the same way as I do, so if your movement is to win, they are going to have to face the new generation of traditionalist conservative such as myself. So, since we are in a free country and you certainly have the same rights as the klan does to attempt to spread your viewpoint; I bid you farewell and happy whining.

More Education Money Won’t Solve Problems
The formidable former British Prime Minister, Lady Margaret Thatcher, might have been speaking about the Texas public education bureaucracy of today when she addressed her political party’s convention in October of 1975.
They have the usual socialist disease; they have run out of other people's money.”
For months we have suffered the loud wailing and gnashing of teeth from the public education bureaucracy and their allies in Texas politics. Their demand has a familiar ring: more money. Not just more money, but money without accountability.
Testifying recently before the Texas Senate’s Committee of the Whole, former activist-liberal-judge turned liberal-policy-activist Scott McCown (who legislated “Robin Hood” from the bench) passionately defended the thinking that has kept the school finance debate focused on spending-envy instead of academic results.
“To have a system where some districts have laptops and others don’t is simply unacceptable,” he said.
Why? Not a shred of research exists to prove computers in the classroom actually improve education. If one school wastes money on pointless activities detracting from education, why must all? But in the crusade for equity, McCown and his ilk simply want to spend more money.
As one newspaper ironically pointed out, the “wealthy” Highland Park school district does not have laptops for its kids, but districts receiving money under Robin Hood from Highland Park do.
Ronald Reagan, while serving as president, summed up the problem with the public education bureaucracy. “If you serve a child a rotten hamburger in America, federal, state and local agencies will investigate you, summon you, close you down, whatever. But if you provide a child with a rotten education, nothing happens, except that you're liable to be given more money to do it with.”
Proof Providence has yet to abandon Texas: the Legislature concluded the recent Special Session without doing anything. That was best; they were going to simply give more money to the existing system without truly distinguishing between the purveyors of good and bad education. (Be warned: another special could be called as soon as this summer.)
Consider this: we’ve tripled real-per-student spending in less than 30 years, and built monuments to fiscal mismanagement with athletic and administration complexes rivaling college facilities; we have superintendents with multi-year contracts valued in the millions of dollars.
Meanwhile, scores on the SAT, ACT and other national indicators of academic achievement have shown no improvement in the quality of education for kids surviving the system. Drop-out rates, especially for minorities, are an embarrassment.
In all, Robin Hood “costs” Texans a billion dollars a year in recapture – that is, the money taken from “wealthy” districts and redistributed to “poor” ones. Of course, taxpayers whose cash was redistributed receive no accounting for the use of their money.
Let us set aside reason and pretend more money might actually, finally, for the first time, make a positive difference. Why not prioritize state spending? Is there nothing to cut in the state budget to provide more money for education? Nothing less important?
We have a commission to encourage government employee productivity; there are at least a dozen river authorities with billions in assets. Texas has a commission on acupuncture. There is nothing to cut? Nothing to change? No way to save money?
In the religious pantheon of the left, government agencies and programs are wrathful gods to be fiscally appeased – never questioned – on a regular basis, regardless of the economic effect.
Thomas Jefferson lamented that “as a government grows, liberty decreases.” He wisely noted, “Government big enough to supply everything you need is big enough to take everything you have.”
The Robin Hood of legend stole from tyrannical government functionaries, returning the loot to the victimized poor. In Texas, he was hired by an elected judge and legitimized by the legislature to victimize taxpayers in the name of the children, while enriching the bureaucracy.
Despite noble intentions, and precious few benefits, Robin Hood has been an unwitting tool for the advocates of increased spending without any accompanying accountability for classroom improvement.
In the end, it is one more destructive attempt to soothe the ravages of the socialists’ disease.

Consider The Experience
Conroe voters should seriously consider the experience an qualifications of the two candidates for City council when voting on Saturday.
One candidate, Bill Cochran Jr. served on City Council from 1993 to 2000, a period of time when many youth programs were established, all streets of Conroe were overlaid, water and sewer facilities were expanded, and parks were built and expanded. All of this was accomplished with no increase in property tax rates. The rates were even reduced a couple of times. Before and after Bill's tenure, rates were increased but never decreased. Bill would never support tax increases.
The other candidate has no experience in government service and is riding the coattails of Conroe's new Mayor.
Conroe needs proven experience on city council. Please join me in electing Bill Cochran Jr. for City Council Saturday the 12th of June at City Hall.

Conroe City Council
Experience And Education
I, Tommy Burrow, wish to thank the citizens of Conroe who voted for me in the Municipal Judge race and ask your support in the up-coming run-off election for our City Councilperson for a man I have known for 14 years, Bill Cochran Jr.
Bill Cochran is a former City Councilperson with proven experience. He is a businessman who uses education plus common sense to solve problems. He is a good family man who realizes the need to continue programs which will educate our younger generation so they make a positive effect on our city. Bill can make a positive difference for our city by helping make decisions which will include citizens from all ethnic groups and social status.
Unlike his opponent who is inspired by the movie, 'Dances With Wolves,' Bill has a vision similar to mine, and that vision is to bring all our communities together to create 'The Miracle City', as we should know it. Bill believes as Eleanor Roosevelt once said, "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."
Please help make this vision a reality by voting for Bill Cochran Jr., Councilperson Position 2: a man who cares.

Don't Blame Bush
It is sad to see certain people blaming anything and everything that might be remotely construed as “wrong with America” on one, single man, George W. Bush.
Based on “Mainstream Moms Oppose Bush” or MMOB’s “facts only” approach, GW is responsible for lost economic hope, decreased national security, poor education and health, a deteriorating environment and a loss of human rights.
Managing a country the size and diversity of America is indeed a daunting task. Keep in mind that Bush inherited a country with a greatly diminished military and industry on the verge of collapse, as the falsely inflated values of the internet bubble shattered in our faces, as investor confidence was destroyed by scandals of greed in our largest mega-corporations. All of this escaped the eye of the previous executive. Bush inherited a country that had been repeatedly attacked by terrorists, in an ever-increasing stage of violence against Americans on and off of American soil. Recently an al-Quida operative has confessed to planning attacks that would include even more destruction through the use of nuclear and “dirty” bombs.
It is unfathomable to think that any president would be able to mend all that was wrong in a single term, much less in two to three years, especially since, unlike his predecessor, he is unwilling to use “executive order” or tools like recess appointments to get the job done.
Based on the information afforded to him at the time, he made the same decision that the majority of bipartisan leadership has stated they would have made in order to end the siege of terror against America. His decision to go directly after the terrorists, on their land, and to rebuild our dilapidated military strength has encouraged other terrorist nations such as Libya and North Korea to come forward about their own weapons of mass destruction. As anyone who has played football knows, the best defense is a strong offense. The best way to keep a bully from beating you up is to be stronger than him and to show no fear. By keeping the war on terror “over there” and cutting their supply lines of money and weapons whenever we find it, hopefully we can reduce the threat of attacks here at home.
THAT’S GOOD FOR OUR KIDS!
Unfortunately, the cost of “freedom” is never free. The cost of keeping a war off our soil is expensive, but not near as expensive as the cost of fighting one on our own turf. Bush committed to the tax cuts in his campaign as a means get the economy flowing, and statistics indicate that that part of his plan worked. As any good corporate administrator might do, He worked hard to realign resources to get the job done without getting into the pockets of the American people and once again slowing down the economy. Again it appear that plan is working as evidenced by our continually growing GNP and strong investment in American companies. Our largest efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan are nearly over, and I haven’t been asked once to buy war bonds, stop driving me car or ration ANYTHING.
THAT’S GOOD FOR OUR KIDS!
The net result has been an increase in the National debt. I don’t like it. Nobody does. But it has always been the “immediate” cost of doing what is right. Because war is usually never planned for in the long run, if we are to accept a “balanced budget”, then the cost of war, beyond the regular maintenance of our armed forces, could not be fore-planned. As in past wars, deficits will have to be paid from future revenues. The fact that the economy is on the mend, means that there will be more business and therefore a larger tax base to help pay the debt and ultimately reduce the national deficit.
THAT’S GOOD FOR OUR KIDS!
One other result of America’s involvement in a war on terrorism and the direct attack on American soil was the creation of the Patriot Act. Unfortunately I see this as a necessary evil. Like all Americans, I do not take kindly to strangers watching what I am doing or saying. However, as a law-abiding citizen, I am not at all threatened by the knowledge that they might. I understand that anything I say or do in public, or via any media is immediately available as public information (including this letter). This type of information is NOT protected by the Bill of Rights. Further, I consider the collection and monitoring of this type of data a very small price to pay for the security of knowing I can tuck my kids in at night without the worry of a bomb or terrorist attack.
THAT’S GOOD FOR OUR KIDS!
As far as other social ills such as welfare, education and health, Bush, like any good Republican firmly believes that the best results come from providing solutions as close to home as possible. This is directly opposite of the Democratic “Top-Down” approach. As a pragmatist, it is obvious to see that personalized help from friends and neighbors is the best way to deal with welfare and heath, and although there is nothing wrong with the government setting standards of assessment for our students, it is local teachers and parents that know the actual needs of each child better than anyone.
THAT’S GOOD FOR OUR KIDS!
Instead of blaming Bush, MMOB should be blaming all of the rest of us, including themselves. As Americans we want peace and freedom to be handed to us at no cost. We want to be part of a world economy and still demand wages that are several, sometimes hundreds of times higher than those countries we desire to do business with. We want American businesses to pay for everything, then, we wonder why they close their doors or send production offshore. Then, as if things aren’t bad enough, after removing every incentive for new companies to form, we wonder why our economy falters and there are no jobs. We expect an ever-increasing government to provide our every need, then complain that we have no money left after taxes.
Bush is NOT the problem. But he does have some tried and true solutions, if we, the people, will give them a chance to work.

The Woodlands
Midnight Bike Cruise
Please allow me the honor of announcing that the 6th Annual Midnight Bike Cruise in The Woodlands, hosted by the Montgomery County Food Bank, takes place this year on Saturday, August 14th, at 11:59 p.m. As in previous years, we will have approximately 10 and 20 miles routes, all through the interior of The Woodlands (no highways, in other words). It will begin and end at Panther Creek Shopping Center, Woodlands Parkway and Gosling Road.
The cruise is a family oriented, non--competitive event. The pre-registration fee is $15, and it is $20 at the door. Participants receive a free t-shirt, while supplies last.
This event is typically underwritten entirely by sponsors, so all entry fees and extra donations go to the Montgomery County Food Bank. The Food Bank assists approximately 12,000 needy people in our community every month.
Lights and helmets are required for the ride.
This is a great event, and it has been terrific fun in the past. I hope to see you there, and thanks!

God Intervenes To Save Bush
Even If You only rated Reagan as a Good President, surely You observed that He was a Great man.
Bush looks at Stem Cell research as Anti-Christian, although the research could save people from the Horrible disease that has claimed the Life of Our 40th President and made the final years of His life almost unbearable.
Surely Reagan was In Bush's Prayers, but Bush had far too much on His plate this past week. If You were Bush, then You were trying to survive a week in which Your CIA director resigned, Memo's from the Justice Dept. explaining that You as President have the Power to authorize Torture were Leaked, and seeking Legal council for Yourself & Your Vice President to defend yourselves against accusations that Your administration leaked the name of a CIA operative.
Your moving Into a week In which You'll visit the Pope, then attend D-Day Ceremonies In France where up to One Million Protesters may rally against You, a UN Vote on Iraq, and a G-8 Summit that you'll be hosting in Georgia where the leaders of all Major Nations will gather. Your previous week almost makes it seem impossible for this next week to go well at all, but then God Intervenes and Saves Bush.
As Airforce One Is enroute to France the News of Reagan's passing breaks, and God lifts the Unbearable weight off Bush's shoulders. In France Chirac scrambles every Police and Soldier asset at French disposal to quickly remove any Protesters from Our Presidents sight while He's visiting, because the Last thing Chirac wants Is an American President, morning the Loss of another American President...coming to ceremonies remembering the Sacrifice of American Soldiers, who came to Liberate the French from German Rule...being Mobbed by French citizens Protesting the Iraq War and Bush Administration! That would be unacceptable. One day later the UN, Unanimously approves the Iraq Resolution, because the Last thing any World Leader wants to do, Is be the Lone Vote against Iraq...knowing that within 24 hours they will be In America. Not only for a G-8 summit, but also for the Funeral of Ronald Wilson Reagan. Instead of Your recent problems being the Focus of this meeting, now the other world leaders will have to put aside their serious issues and at least pretend to be sympathetic to a Host Nation that has just lost a Great Leader. I have tried, but try as I might,
I can't think of any other person except for Reagan...whose Death could cause this large of a swing in events that truly will effect Our World. If God/the Creator or something of Great Power doesn't walk hand in hand with Bush, then how does this Golden Key capable of unlocking all these doors...just Magically fall into Bush's lap? Ask Not, "Win One for the Gipper", Ask "The Gipper to Win One for You."

How Naive Can We Be?
Are we really that naive and shallow to pick a president to lead this country solely based on his home state? Do we really want a trigger happy president that will send our men and women to fight his fathers battles for him? Do we even know why we went to Iraq? Really? Oil? was that the reason? It's only 1.80 a gallon good lord its not even that high in comparison to the rest of the world.
If we want to fight for something I just paid 3 bucks for a gallon of milk for gods sake, are we short on cows? What's that about? I recently paid 1.49 for a gallon of water, YES water people. Could we find someone to fight for that? NO! We would rather fight for the biggest world commodity there is. I am not saying that Kerry or Nader is the answer, I am saying Bush has done his damage, and its time to go get hooked on phonics.

We Need You Bruce
Our country's leadership is in desperate need of change.
On September 1, the Republicans will hold their convention in New York City and will nominate George Bush for President. Many people will see this event as it will be broadcast on all the major television networks. However, an opportunity exists at that time to make it clear to Americans that they can choose an alternative to George Bush.
I have put Giants Stadium on hold on September 1 in the hope that you will lead the music industry in coming together and perform in a concert for change. Once it is known that you are involved, many other artists will want to perform with you.
Together your collective voices and music will send a clear message to all Americans that our country needs their vote to create change. The event is called VoteAid: "Concert for Change" and we think that it has the potential to become the largest concert in history. We would like the money that this concert generates to go to support voter registration and participation throughout the country, but more importantly your decision to play at exactly the same time George Bush is being nominated will focus all Americans on the importance in this election for their future as well as the future of the world.
I have asked the undersigned to join me in signing this letter.

The Gay Agenda
Is it a coincidence that we have been simultaneously considering removing "under God" as a description of our nation, at the same time that homosexual behavior is being promoted and normalized? Are the incessant ACLU and other atheist attacks on our Godly heritage, and the official chastisement and firing of Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore for displaying the Ten Commandments, linked to the tidal wave of gay propaganda and legislation engulfing our country? Last year it was a federal ban of the remaining state anti-sodomy laws, and this year it is the first legalization of gay
marriage by our present oligarchy of judges.
The Bible says there is indeed a link between cultural God-denial and sexual perversion. In Romans 1:18-27 the scripture points out consequences for the denial of God, whose existence it says is manifestly clear to us through "what has been made" (the creation). The scriptures prophecy that one of the consequences of exchanging theistic faith for foolish nature-based philosophies, is increased homosexual behavior. "They exchanged the truth of God for the lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator.. For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise the men, leaving the natural use of the woman burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due", Rom 1:26,27.
The immune suppressants known to exist in male semen are intended to allow sperm to fertilize egg in vaginal intercourse by preventing the woman's antibodies from killing the sperm (literally enabling "the two to become one flesh"). But these same immune suppressants in semen have a terrible disease-promoting effect when deposited in a rectum through anal intercourse (sodomy). Immune system suppression, with sperm attacking cell walls at the end of the digestive tract where high concentrations of bacteria and blood vessels and thin membrane walls are designed to allow maximum absorption of nutrients into the body, is a recipe for disease and death. Indeed, gay bowel disease, hepatitis, rectal cancers, new strains of gonorrhea, HIV, and AIDS, etc, are among the modern medical epidemics accompanying the behavioral epidemic of homosexual sex, reducing gay average lifetimes 25-30 years.
Rather than govern according to truth and Biblical principle, our nation has chosen to govern according to the PC dictates of humanistic natural philosophy, deciding God's laws are no longer relevant. It is past time we become again a nation "under God" and throw out the lies of atheism and state-sponsored natural philosophy, whether it is wrongly promoted as the requirement of the First Amendment or disguised as science in the form of evolutionism.

Commune On Over
In response to the threat by the US Catholic Church to refuse communion for pro-choice American politicians who favor abortion and gay marriages, His Holiness Rael, spiritual leader of the Raelian Movement, offers the solution of apostasy.
“This meddling of religion with politics is unacceptable,” says His Holiness RAEL. "These politicians who are being denied communion should publicly apostatize from the Catholic Church, and then later if they wished, could convert and become Protestants or any other form of Christianity which is more respectful. They could even become Raelian since we actively support choice for abortion and gay marriages. Just as in the past where the abuses of the Catholic Church sparked off the creation of Protestantism, here again, thousands of Christians can publicly show their condemnation of the way their religion is being politicized, by converting to Protestantism or any other religion.
It is the duty of all politicians and public figures to show the way and initiate this kind of move, especially famous politicians and celebrities. They should also remember that converting to Protestantism or any other kind of religion, which recognizes the wonderful message of Jesus, such as the Raelian Movement, does not mean they are no longer Christian; it just means they refuse to support the organization of the Catholic Church, which has betrayed Jesus’ wonderful message.
Of the 60 000 members of the Raelian Movement, living in 90 countries, more than 40 000 had been Catholic before they joined and had apostatized themselves from the Catholic Church (this debaptization was done by simply sending a letter). They were then able to receive the Raelian baptism whose ceremony is available 4 times a year by one of the 125 Raelian priests worldwide. Raelians recognize Jesus as the son of Yahweh and one of the Messengers of the Elohim, which was the Hebrew name for god in the original Bible.
